NHS Prescription charges

Currently the prescription charge is £9.15 per item. From the 1st April 2021, the charges will be £9.35 per item.

  • Three-month Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) – £29.65; this will save you money if you need more than three prescribed items in three months 
  • 12-month PPC – £105.90; this will save you money if you need more than 12 prescribed items in a year. PPCs are available by 10 monthly direct debit instalment payments.
