    ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTIONS SERVICE (EPS) PHASE 4

    ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTIONS SERVICE (EPS) PHASE 4 from June 2020 - Patient's without an EPS nomination will be given a token to present at a community pharmacy. The token contains a unique barcode which can be scanned at any pharmacy in England to download the prescription from the Nhs spine and retrieve the prescriptions details. During coronavirus, patients will not need the paper token; the community pharmacy will be able to download the prescription from the patient's nhs number. Please note there will be special circumstance where paper prescriptions will be given.

    PRINCIPLE Study (Platform Randomised Trial of Interventions Against COVID-19 In Older People) We are currently recruiting for a new research study at Buckden & Little Paxton Surgeries. The PRINCIPLE study aims to find out whether selected treatments for patients with possible COVID-19 helps reduce the need for hospitalisation, the length of hospital stay if required, helps people recover quicker and get fewer complications.

    Advice for parents during coronavirus

    Whilst coronavirus is infectious to children it is rarely serious. If your child is unwell it is likely to be a non-coronavirus illness, rather than coronavirus itself. Whilst it is extremely important to follow Government advice to stay at home during this period, it can be confusing to know what to do when your child is unwell or injured. Remember that NHS 111, GPs and hospitals are still providing the same safe care that they have always done.
