Triage based Appointments Posted or Updated on 20 Feb 2024

From 7 June, the Practice will be introducing a Triage based system for all patients wanting to book an appointment with a Doctor or Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

If you would like to request a consultation with one of our Doctor’s or Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will need to send us a request via our new Patient Contact Service. Try this service now!

The Patient Contact Service will allow you to submit an admin query, request help for a medical issue (including requesting an appointment) or find online advice.

The Patient Contact Service asks a few short questions and can be completed on behalf of someone else, such as an elderly relative or child. Please give us as much information as possible so the Duty Team can give you the right advice first time.

If you are struggling to use the Patient Contact Service please call reception who can complete the questions for you. Please note reception are not able to bypass this system.

The Duty Team may contact you for a triage conversation to further evaluate your needs, direct you to another service, or arrange for a Doctor to call you on the same day or arrange a future routine appointment. It is therefore important to keep your phone with you to answer your phone straight away.

All requests received before 5.00pm will be reviewed on the same working day by our Duty Team. Any requests received after this will be reviewed the next working day.

With this system, we hope to more quickly & reliably respond to your health needs.

Nursing Team Appointment

If you would like to book an appointment with our Nursing team for childhood immunisations, cervical smear test, an adult vaccination/injection, dressings or a new patient health check etc, you can still do so by calling reception or you can request the appointment via Patient Contact Service.
